- Search at https://umap.organd focus on ‘For Students’. Note that you have to apply for UMAP Program A for a tuition fee waive.
The information will be posted during 5 Dec 2019 – 6 January 2019.
Scholarship: It may be available for students who apply for studying in Japan and Taiwan
How to apply:
- Fill in KMUTT Outbound Exchange Application Form and/ or other required documents.
- Consult your advisor about course registration. This is to make sure that the credits taken at the partner institutions can be accepted and transferred back to KMUTT.
- Submit KMUTT Outbound Exchange Application Form, along with other required documents to your department.
- Your department will screen out and submit the application package to KMUTT International Affairs Office (IA).
- Selection committee will interview, select, and nominate successful candidates to the partner institutions for their final consideration.
- IA will announce the result to the department and students.
- If accepted, students have to re-consult with their advisor on registration, while feel free to discuss on immigration and other administrative matters with IA.

- You also have to do the online application during 5 Dec 2019 – 11 Dec 2019 at https://usco.umap.org. Please follow UMAP instruction carefully.

United Nations Volunteers 2020
The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. UNV works with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism.
King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and United Nations Volunteers (UNV) aim to inspire Thai youth as a social change agent by improving their potential in volunteerism. Therefore, the two parties pilot the programme that will focus on deploying KMUTT students as national and international volunteers to develop capacities and meet the development needs of ASEAN partners specifically in Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand. The recipients will receive a scholarship to do the volunteer work as follows:
Sites: 3
Country of Assignment: Lao P.D.R, Indonesia, and Thailand
Duration: 6 months (January – June 2020)
Host Institute:
Qualifications:
- Full-time KMUTT student
– Undergraduate student, have completed at least two years at KMUTT.
– Graduate student, have completed at least one semester at KMUTT.
- Have Good English skills.
- Candidates are not receiving any scholarship from KMUTT.
Note:
- Candidates must have student status at KMUTT during their period of participating in UNV.
- General Education (GEN) Courses and Language Courses (LNG) can be transferred as a credit.
Grant Support: The selected candidates will receive financial support during the program.

Global PBL in Japan [2019]
Venue: Shibaura Institute of Technology, Omiya Campus, Saitama, Japan
Period of activity: 11 December 2019 – 21 December 2019 (11 Days, 10 Nights)
Activities:
- Work in teams to solve problems and develop teamwork skills and capabilities
- Exchange cultures in an international environment.
Course fee: Approximate fee of the program is about JPY135,000
*Fees include: Session Fee, Accommodation fee, Transportation fee, Field trip fee and personal expenses.
Scholarship Opportunities: SIT will provide a scholarship maximum of JPY80,000 to successful candidates selected by SIT.
Qualification:
- Must be an undergraduate in their 3rd Year or graduate student currently enrolled at KMUTT
- Able to communicate and understand English at a certain level
- Must be able to commit and cooperate with regulations throughout the program
