Description

This program is designed for KMUTT students who are interested in learning Chinese and understanding Chinese culture through lectures at Lunghwa University of Science and Technology and cultural trips in Taipei, Taiwan.

Expenses

  • Lunghwa University provides funding for program fee, accommodation, and food.
  • Students are required to pay for air ticket, insurance, and personal cost.

SHINE program 2019 : Sports & Health International Network for Education

Venue: at Chiba University, Japan

Period of activities: March 11-19, 2019

Program: This program includes sports activities, physical checkup, scientific experiment and visit high school and science museum and so on.

Scholarship :  JPY 80,000 /student

Expenses: Student are responsible for the costs (estimated in total JPY 150,000~JPY200,000)

Qualification:

  • KMUTT full-time student

On February 16, 2018. Prof. Masahiro Inoue (Dept. of Electronic Information Systems College of Systems Engineering and Science), Prof. Atsuko K. Yamazaki (Graduate School of Engineering & Science College of Engineering, School of Arts and Sciences English Communication Department) and Prof. Kazunori MANO (Dept. of Electronic Information Systems College of Systems Engineering and Science) from Shibaura Institute of Technology visited SIT-KMUTT.

They were welcomed by Prof.Dr. Nipon Charoenkitkarn, Dean of the School of Information Technology and Prof.Dr. Jonathan Hoyin Chan, Associate Dean for International Relations, In this visiting they discussion about Research collaboration, Exchange program, and Internship.

Program fee KRW 1,100,000 (The full tuition is KRW 2,200,000; KMUTT students get %50 off of the full tuition fee as a scholarship provided for a partner university)

Remark: Program fee does not include airfare, dormitory, meals, living expenses, insurance fee, personal expenses, etc.

Venue: at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi.

Period of activities: on 14-23 February  2019

Level : Undergraduates and Graduates

Program description: attend the Global Project Based Learning (gPBL) program with international students.

Qualification:

  • Be full-time KMUTT student
  • GPA ≥ 2.50
  • Studying in the bachelor degree (except the 1st year) or Master degree
  • Good proficiency in English communication
  • Able to work in international team/environment
  • Be responsible & punctual

How to apply:

  1. Fill in Application form and/or other required documetns.
  2. Submit Application form along with other required documents to your department (SIT Building, IR-Section 2nd floor)
  3. Your department will screen out and submit the application package to KMUTT International Affairs Office (IA)
  4. Selection committee will interview, select, and nominate successful candidates to the partner institutions for their final consideration.

CommTECH Camp Insight 2019 at ITS, Subaraya, Indonesia

Venue: Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya, Indonesia

Period of Activities: 23 Jan – 5 Feb 2019

Activities: CommTECH Camp Insight 2019 is presented as Project based Learning (PbL) program in which participants including university students, academics, and professionals from all over the world will have an opportunity to learn about the community and global issues especially ITS’s expertise in technology implementation within the society and Indonesia’s diverse heritage and culture through various aspects and fun activities. Under the theme “Solving Local Problems with Global Knowledge”, the program includes courses, visitation and discussion with government and non-government agencies, societal engagement, Indonesian language courses, learning traditional music and dances, visit to main tourist destinations, and tasting delicious Indonesian food.

CommTECH Camp Insight 2019 consists of 5 sub courses.

  1. Sub course A: Sociopreneurship in Action
  2. Sub course B: Designing and Building Energy-Efficient Car
  3. Sub course C: Introduction to Game Animation & Internet of Things
  4. Sub course D: Ship Navigation Safety and Risk Assessment of Ship Collision
  5. Sub course E: Exploring Indonesian and Art

Scholarship:

  • Full Scholarship (for 10 participants)
  • 50% Scholarship (for 10 participants) – pay USD 800
  • Partial Scholarship (for 5 participants) – pay USD 1,000

The 14-day program fee is about 1, 600 USD, covering airport pick-up and drop-off, accommodation and all scheduled meals, local transportation, course material, workshop tools and materials such as fabrics, T-shirt and backpack, and site visits. Round-trip flight and health insurance are not part of the fee.

The nominated students will receive the partial support from KMUTT.

Qualification: Be KMUTT staff (lecturer, researcher and supporting staff) & students

2019 DUOThailand Fellowship Programme

DUO-Thailand Program is sponsored by the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC), Ministry of Education, Thailand with an aim to enhance a mobility of students between Thailand and ASEM member states in Europe on a balanced basis.

The purpose of the programme aims to enhance a balanced mobility of students between Thailand and 30 ASEM member states in Europe by supporting paired-based and two-way exchanges. In this respect, the programme requires that a PAIR (two persons) of students be exchanged in the framework of cooperative project/cooperation between higher education institutions in Thailand and in 30 ASEM Member states in Europe.

Application material: 2019 Duo-Thailand

Application must be submitted through International Affairs Office of KMUTT only.

Note: If student application meets the requirements, the applicant will be called for an interview.

  2. Consult your advisor about course registration. This is to make sure that the credits taken at the partner institutions can be accepted and transferred back to KMUTT.
