The University of Aizu Creative Development Program 2019
- Information about the University of Aizu
Located in the city of Aizuwakamatsu, the University of Aizu (UoA) specializes in Computer Science and Software Engineering curriculum. Established in 1993, it is the ﬁrst institution in Japan to focus solely on these areas of study.
- Overview of the Creative Development Program
The University of Aizu provides on-site (summer intensive) and distance learning classes that the students of the University of Aizu will work with students from participating universities (including departments other than Computer Science and Engineering), and experience diverse cultures and values that help them to understand the differences, and gradually learn the importance of collaboration and cooperation. The program aims to enhance students’ awareness and their motivation for developing creative skills through introduction of a new course on creativity and a structured learning path including existing courses related to regional innovation and international understanding.
Those students who completed the program will be received an official certificate of completion for the Creative Development Program at the University of Aizu.

- Application Qualifications
Individuals who satisfy the following requirements:
- Individuals who are currently enrolled and recommended by a partner university of the University of Aizu
- Individuals who are fulfilled the requirements of the Japan Student Support Organization (JASSO) Scholarship (such as GPA)
- Individuals who are highly motivated to complete every class of the Creative Development Program in order to maintain their Student VISA

April 3, 2019: Call for Application
April 12, 2019: Application Deadline (e-review)
April 19, 2019: Application Deadline (official)
June 7, 2019: Successful applications shall be selected, and a notification shall be sent
in writing to each successful application, and fill in the certificate of eligibility as a college student status.
Beginning of July, 2019: Submit the necessary documents with certificate of eligibility to the
nearest Japanese Embassy or Consulate
August 19, 2019: Leave for Japan
August 20 – 23, 2019: Summer Intensive class (Creativity Development Studio)
August 26 – 29, 2019: Summer Intensive Class (Introduction to Project Management)
August 30, 2019: Leave for their home country or area
October, 2019 – February, 2020 Online Distance Learning Class (Practical Project Management)
March, 2020 Completion for all the program and grant the official certificate
